Céad Míle Fáilte to our new teaching staff

A very warm welcome to our four new teachers at the Academy. Every blessing for the year ahead.

Ilaria Pasquali attended the prestigious Liceo classico "Michelangiolo" secondary school in Florence, Italy, before graduating with undergraduate and masters degrees from the Univeristy of Florence. Ilaria's international teaching and leadership experience included work in the United States, South Africa, and Ireland. Ilaria teaches Latin, philosophy, history and grammar at the Academy.


Claire Guernsey is a graduate of Christendom College in English and joins Mater Dei Academy through our unique relationship with the Saints and Scholars Foundation. Claire is teaching English literature, grammar, and philosophy at Mater Dei Academy.


Darragh Hannigan graduated with a first class honours in music from Cork School of Music with specialisations in the areas of performance, conducting, and composing. Darragh previously completed two years of university mathematics studies at University College Cork and has been involved in music at both Saint Peter and Paul’s Parish and St Mary’s Dominican Church in Cork for a number of years. Darragh teaches music and mathematics at Mater Dei Academy as well as serving as choral director.

Jack Little graduated with a first-class honours in English and History from University College Cork with a particular focus on Irish reformation history. Jack is currently pursuing his masters in Medieval Literature at UCC while teaching English Literature and History at the Academy.
