Child Safeguarding
The Board of Trustees and Faculty of the Academy recognise that child protection and welfare considerations permeate all aspects of the Academy’s life and this is reflected in all of the school’s policies, procedures, practices and activities. Therefore in all of its policies, procedures, practices and activities, the Academy will adhere to the principles of best practice in child protection and welfare in addition to its statutory requirements.
Costs
Mater Dei Academy is an independent Catholic school which operates as a non-recognised school under Section 14 (1) of the Education (Welfare) Act, 2000. We receive no funding from the Irish state and, as a registered charity in Ireland, we are supported by benefactors and donors.
Parent contributions are family-based and all families are eligible for scholarship support. No child is refused admission to Mater Dei Academy due solely to financial circumstances.
Mater Dei Academy welcomes all families, large and small. The Academy is supported by parent contributions on a per-family basis. In 2026/27 the parent contribution per family is €4,500 for the academic year. Scholarships are available.
